I’m 35 years old and have been a single mom since February 2003. My son is now 8 and his name is Will. He’s awesome…and you’ll hear lots about him. I grew up in Jacksonville, Florida and moved to Nashville, Tennessee in January of 1995. Met Mike (my ex) and married in August of the same year, and had our son Will in October 2000, after 3 years of trying and 2 sessions of artificial inseminiation. In late summer of 2002, Mike told me he wanted a divorce in a note he left on the coffee table on his way out the door to a Titans football game. So, Will and I have been on our own ever since. Mike is a good dad, that I can say…and he sees Will on a very regular basis and lives just 10 minutes away. So, for Will, that is great.
I’m using this category to share a little history about my journey over the past 6 years and give you a little insight into my life and what’s led me to where I am today. I’m an open book and pretty transparent, so there’s no telling what you might read. Just know ahead of time that I only share my heart, honestly and openly.
